‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ Updates: The ‘Harry Potter’ Prequel To Feature A Lovestruck Newt & A Disturbed Dumbledore [SPOILERS]

Just days after the successful release of the "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them," people are already curious about the second part of this "Harry Potter" prequel. This movie set in the 1920's features the adventures of the wizard, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). The "Fantastic Beasts 2" promises an even more interesting plot and will also see the inclusion of Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald and Jared Harris as Albus Dumbledore

Looks like the screenwriting debut of J.K. Rowling is not bad as the movie attracted lots of moviegoers and claimed the top spot in the weekend's box-office list. Although the film brought in a whopping $75 million on its opening weekend, this figure is apparently still less than what the previous "Harry Potter" films have earned.

So what can folks expect in 'Fantastic Beasts 2?" A spoiler posted in Collider claims that Newt Scamander will have a love life in the second installment of the movie. Newt's love interest will be Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz) who was introduced in the first movie as a past love of the protagonist wizard. As confirmed by the film director, David Yates, Lestrange will have a bigger role this time as Newt Scamander will fall for her slightly disturbed character.

Meanwhile, another post from The Wrap reports that the young Albus Dumbledore (Jared Harris) will be shown as a troubled individual, so far from the clever sage character he portrayed in the "Harry Potter" series. In fact, the article claims that though Dumbledore will be portrayed as someone very wise, Dumbledore may appear as gay in the movie.

The "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is the first of the five films to be released. Aside from being the writer, J.K. Rowling is also the producer of the film. The Harry Potter spinoff stellar cast includes Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Jon Voight, and Alison Sudol.
