'Street Fighter 5' Update: CapCom Confirms Support For Game Until 2020

"Street Fighter 5" is under the production company of Capcom. Yoshinori Ono, the executive producer of CapCom, revealed that the company is thinking to support the game as far as 2020 or so on.

"Street Fighter 5" is not a 1 or 2 years thing because fans are looking forward as it will be available until 2020 or more according to Gamespot. Tomoaki Ayano, one of the producers, said that the game will go along when they add something to it.

They are currently planning well for what the game can offer and they are trying to develop the game to its best.  Capcom wanted to solidify "Street Fighter 5" as an eSports title. There are already numerous entries that came along the way in the era of "Street Fighter 6" and the publisher wants to make it higher than the "Street Fighter 5".

It is possible to organize bigger tournaments if a lot of people will participate. They are open in receiving bigger sales if there will be more viewers during the tournaments. "Street Fighter 5" tries to make it more tournament-friendly.

Unfortunately, CapCom banned the latest stage of the game. The "Skies of Honor" is prohibited to be used in the CapCom Cup. However, the publisher is making a new stage as well as a new character of the game. As of now, there is still no confirmation if new character addition and stage will be available in the upcoming tournaments.

The first season of "Street Fighter 5" is over according to VG247. Fans are now waiting for CapCom to release the new season but the producers are very vocal in supporting "Street Fighter 5" for more than four years.

There is no statement if the producers will be releasing other fighting games. It is also good to note that a CapCom Cup will be held at PlayStation Experience next weekend.
