'The Walking Dead' Season 7 News, Cast, Updates, Spoilers: Is THIS New ‘TWD’ Character Friend Or Foe?

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 continues to reveal the scope of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and The Saviors' clout, and new key cast Natania (Deborah May) may be friend or foe to Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the Alexandria survivors. "The Walking Dead" comic book canon by Robert Kirkman does not hold more clue on Natania and for the time being, the leader of the Oceanside community is a wild card for TWD fans.

Comicbook reports that "The Walking Dead" Season 7 has altered the series' take on the Oceanside community. In "The Walking Dead" comic book, the Oceanside community is led by a female leader named Alpha. The Oceanside community was also introduced in the TWD comic book before the men were annihilated by Negan and The Saviors.

In "The Walking Dead" Season 7, Tara (Alana Masterson) discovered the Oceanside community The Saviors eliminated the men. As Comicbook points out, Natania is a character created for TV and does not exist in the comic book canon.

Will Tara find an ally in Natania and her Oceanside community? Or will the new TWD character turn out to be a similar character to The Governor? Rick Grimes and his group first encountered The Governor in "The Walking Dead" Season 3.

At this point in "The Walking Dead" Season 7, The Alexandria group needs all the allies they can find. As Parent Herald cites internal breakdown in their own community and the inevitable breakup of Rick Grimes and Michonne (Danai Gurira) are seemingly imminent after their botched deal with The Hilltop colony, the eventual elimination of Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and the capture of Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

As it is, "The Walking Dead" Season 7 seems to be strategically positioning Rick Grimes' group, albeit unwittingly. If Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Morgan Jones (Lenny James) continue to ingratiate themselves to Ezekiel of The Kingdom, Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) leads The Hilltop colony and Tara earns the friendship of the Oceanside group, Negan and The Saviors may be in for a nasty surprise.
