Selena Gomez Latest News: 'Kill Em With Kindness' Singer Is Back In Social Media After Rehab

Selena Gomez broke her social media silence after winning her first AMA 2016 as Favorite Female Artist in the Pop/Rock category. She attended the AMAs but didn’t post photos of the event in social media.

Days after winning, the “Same Old Love” singer posted a photo on Instagram. She thanked everyone for the “hardest yet most rewarding” year of her life. Gomez added that, at last, she had the courage to fight the feeling of not being enough.

Gomez’s Instagram account was quiet for 15 weeks until she posted the photo below. Her millions of followers quickly showed their support as the post already has 3.3 million likes as of writing.

It can be recalled that Gomez checked herself into rehab last October. She was diagnosed with Lupus and was battling depression, the Daily Mail reports.

She was upfront regarding her diagnosis and truthfully shared her decision to take a break from performing. Along with this decision, the fans of the “Good for You” singer were still anticipating something big from the singer during the AMAs.

Many were expecting the possibility of a comeback performance from Gomez during the AMAs. However, she did not perform on stage, nor did she announce any future shows, E! News reports.

Gomez did, however, get up on the AMA stage to accept her award. The young pop star gave a very emotional and inspirational acceptance speech, much to her fans' delight.

Based on her 103 million loyal Instagram followers, it is clear that Gomez' fans will always support her no matter what. But her recent re-emergence on social media gives fans hope that a comeback performance is happening very soon.
