Marvel's 'Iron Fist' Release Date, News & Update: Everything You Need To Know About The TV Series!

Another Netflix exclusive will be released real soon - Marvel's "Iron Fist" premieres next year, March 17. Fans still need to know more about this TV series, its cast, its plot, and most especially its superhero.

"Iron Fist" revolves around the main character, Danny Rand, who will be played by Finn Jones. In the plot, Danny has been missing for many years only to find out that he was taken by monks and was trained to master the ways of Buddhist in a city called K'un-Lun.

After his training, Danny Rand acquired and polished his incredible skills in martial arts and the ability to summon the mystical force - Iron Fist. He came back to New York to resolve his past including his family legacy as he fights against the evil and corrupt.

Prior to the series' casting, Marvel fans hoped that the main character will be portrayed by an Asian actor knowing that the story is about an Asian superhero. The choosing of the actor to play the role of Danny Rand was a bit of controversial especially when the Caucasian actor Finn Jones was announced to get the lead role.

With all the commentaries about the show's 'controversial' casting, Marvel eventually revealed the reason why "GoT's" Loras Tyrell was chosen to play the Iron Fist. According to a report, Scott Buck of Marvel said that the moment he saw FinnJones act, he knew he was the perfect choice to play Danny's character. Even the Head of Marvel TV complimented his acting skills as he has mastered perfectly the combination of "confidence with vulnerability".
