‘Madam Secretary’ Season 3, Episode 9 Spoilers: Election Results Revealed! Elizabeth Blocks Iran’s Nuclear Plans

The election results may have been revealed on "Madam Secretary" Season 3, but the most recent episode sure did set up a longer process for a winner to be declared. Episode eight of "Madam Secretary" showcased a tie between Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine), Fred Reynolds (Michael Potts), and Sam Evans (J.C. Mackenzie).

It's quite unbelievable how a three-way tie between the candidates happened but it did. In the latest "Madam Secretary" episode, both Reynolds and Evans used the booming tensions between Iran and Russia to turn the tides against the Dalton administration and convince the House of Representatives to side with them, CarterMatt wrote. It remains to be seen how Dalton would fare with his opponents on "Madam Secretary" and whether the Congress would side with him and re-elect him as president.

Jason (Evan Roe), meanwhile, got some sense knocked into him by his father, Henry (Tim Daly) on "Madam Secretary." The youngest McCord was proud to announce his blind support for Reynolds, even wearing a shirt in support of the man and speaking his mind at a rally in a public video.

Jason's actions disappointed his family and Henry was forced to give his son a life lesson by visiting a poor community. Henry also told Jason that, "Your knowledge is a mile wide and an inch deep. Do you know what that makes you? A poser. A dilitante," TV Overmind noted.

Daisy (Patina Miller) and Oliver (Kobi Libii) broke up in episode eight of "Madam Secretary" because the latter had to move to California and Daisy is needed at the State Department. This means that there's a chance that Daisy and Matt (Geoffrey Arend) would rekindle their romance. After all, the speech writer clearly still harbors feelings for her.

Episode nine of "Madam Secretary" Season 3 titled "Snap Back" centers on Israel planning to hold military action against Iran "for its suspected military activity," SpoilerTV reported. The U.N. Security Council is already working on reinstating actions against Iran but Israel wants to handle the matter on their own, something which Elizabeth (Téa Leoni)  attempts to stop to prevent further damage.

Russell (Željko Ivanek) pushes Henry to convince his longtime Air Force friend, Congressman Jeff Pearson (Michael Cerveris), to support President Dalton in the House's election vote. Stevie (Wallis Currie-Wood), meanwhile, asks Russell to recommend her to Harvard Law School.

The upcoming "Madam Secretary" Season 3 episode airs on Sunday, Dec. 11 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS. Who do you think will win the presidency? Share your thoughts below!
