Why Fandango Could Not Handle Rouge One's Ticket Sales?

On the off chance that there were doubts about Star Wars fans' excitement over "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" - the upcoming standalone film - the first day of online ticket sales put all the doubts to rest.

According to CBS News, pre-deals for tickets for the film started soon after 12 pm EST on Monday, and the surge of fans wanting to see the film opening end of the week was evidently a lot for online ticket retailer Fandango to handle. Soon after tickets were marked down, customers reported encountering long hold up times, time-outs and general failures while attempting to get to Fandango. Some clients, however, reported experiencing no difficulty obtaining tickets by means of Fandango's mobile application.

Fandango created a solution via a "digital waiting room" that made an online queue to deal with the heavy ticket sales, yet even that was not fully successful, as indicated by reports from FansidedThe previous evening, Fandango saw phenomenal interest for tickets to the movie, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." With just a couple of minutes of going on sale, Fandango sold a huge number of tickets.

An announcement from Fandango discharged reads: "The ticketing for a highly mainstream concert, the digital waiting room will do just the same to accommodate the customers as quickly as possible."

Fandango did constantly serve a record number of clients for the duration of the night, regardless of some unexpected slowdowns - and keeping in mind the end goal to take care of the incredible customer demand, Fandango's exhibition partners keep on adding new showtimes for the opening weekend.

"Rogue One: a Star Wars Story" will be a prequel to the events of the first "Star Wars" film and will hit theaters Dec. 16, 2017. The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker and Mads Mikkelsen. Share your thoughts on this upcoming movie in the comment section.
