'Winds of Winter' Author George RR Martin Showing Entire First Season Of 'Outlander' Free

There is no doubt that many are waiting for the release date of the anticipated book "Winds of Winter." Although there were reports that the sixth installment of the popular novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire" is already in the publication, there is no confirmation yet.

However, the reports are likely to be true. George RR Martin is now giving his attention to "Outlander" after he announced earlier that he will be attending a wedding and a baseball game.

According to International Business Times, the "Outlander" TV series was screened at the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe. The popular TV series is an adaptation of the book series by Diana Gabaldon. It has 16 episodes for its first season and fans had the chance to see this for free in a special marathon session at the said cinema.

"We're having a very special event this week at the Cocteau: a week-long marathon of the entire first season of OUTLANDER, the brilliant television adaptation of Diana Gabaldon's bestselling novels," Martin announced in a recent blog post. "We're showing all sixteen hours, and best of all: admission is FREE."

Martin owns the Jean Cocteau Cinema and named it after a popular French filmmaker and artist, according to the report. Gabaldon was present during the first two nights of the screening when she signed some of the books.

Martin hosted the event, talked about Gabaldon's books and the TV show and even answered questions from the audience.

The cast and crew of "Outlander" are currently filming their scenes for season 2, the co-executive producer of the show, Maril Davis confirmed this in a tweet.

Since Martin is starting to accommodate other projects or invitations, maybe "Winds of Winter" is done. He told Entertainment Weekly in an earlier report that he canceled two convention appearances and has been turning down invitations to get the book done.

However, now, he seems to have the time to attend other things. Moreover, the celebrity author has been hinting about the book, which triggers many to believe that it is already complete.

In an earlier report from Parent Herald, the popular author is teasing a crowd at NYC that "winter is coming," which may mean that "Winds of Winter" may soon be released. In a separate report from the same publication, he also talked about the "bittersweet" ending of the hit series, which has only one book left, after the release of its sixth book.

While there is no concrete date as to when "Winds of Winter" will be released, many are hoping that it will be out this year. But for sure, the book will be available before the next season of "Game of Thrones."
