Steam Winter Sale 2016: Dates Leaked and Confirmed?

Another sale event is coming for gamers all over as the Steam Winter Sale 2016 dates have been leaked and confirmed. Much like last year's schedule, the Holiday sale begins Dec. 22 and will run until January 2.

According to a Neogaf thread, the Steam Winter Sale 2016 runs from Dec. 22, 2016, at 9:50 am (Pacific Time) to Jan. 2, 2017, at 10:10 am (Pacific Time). Meanwhile, Eurogamer confirmed separately the thread posted by one member of the forum.

This makes sense as last year's Steam Winter Sale also started and ended on relatively the same scheduled dates. Last year's sale also offered discounts on "thousands of games and software."   

Gamers noted this sale and flocked Twitter with possible sale items that would go on display during the Steam Winter Sale 2016.

Although Steam Winter Sale is an annual event by one of the biggest online gaming platforms, Steam usually announces sale offers at a fairly short notice. Valve, the creator behind Steam, almost never confirms the timings of its Steam Winter Sale in advance, well not until a schedule was leaked in the forum cited earlier.

TrustedReviews noted that despite Valve ditching "Flash Sales" during one of its Steam Sales, the Steam Winter Sale 2016 is generally regarded as one of the "big ones." Also, there is most often than not an elaborate mini-game attached outside the massive discounts offered during the Steam Winter Sale 2016. This allows gamers to have exclusive Steam cards and other benefits if they play.

Since neither Valve nor Steam has not officially denied or confirmed the details of the Winter Sale 2016, there is no information as regards which games will go on sale or other specific offers. But keep posted as soon as information becomes available.

In other news, Steam Winter Sale 2015 offered deep discounts on over 10,000 downloadable PC titles, which included "Dishonored," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," "Battleblock Theater," and more. Since another franchise for "Dishonored" has been released this year, fans of the game are hoping that "Dishonored 2" will be among the discounted games offered by Steam Winter Sale 2016.
