Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner Divorce: Couple Calls Off Split? 'Batman v Superman' Actor Doesn't Want To Lose Family

It's almost two months since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced, in a joint statement, that they are going to divorce after 10 years of marriage. Although both wanted an amicable split and agreed to live together to co-parent their three children, their break-up was clouded with controversy after "The Batman v Superman" actor was linked to the their kids' nanny.

After so much buzz about the stars' divorce, a new report suggests that Affleck is calling off the split. Yes, according to OK! Magazine, Jen and Ben are giving their 10-year-marriage another blow before officially ending it for good.

The controversies involving the "Gone Girl" star made him realize the importance of his family. A source told OK! Magazine, "This whole mess has made Ben realize he doesn't want to lose his family"

The report said that despite Ben's gambling vice and hard-partying ways, their marriage survived. However, the alleged affair between Ben and the family's ex-nanny, Christine Ouzounian, was the final straw.

"Ben asked Jen if there was anything he could do to save the marriage," revealed the insider. "The trust isn't there for her right now, but she left the door open." With Jen leaving the door open, there's a chance for the couple to resolve their issues and work their marriage out.

According to the report, "The Miracles from Heaven" star is not angry with her ex-husband, but she just couldn't believe that he would be so stupid to get himself involved with their nanny. "She's just humiliated for the family," the source said.

"She told him that since they were separated at the time, he could do what he wanted, but it was upsetting that he chose to spend his downtime with the nanny instead of with the kids or making an effort with her."

"The Accountant" actor has promised to turn his life for the better, including stopping his drinking and gambling vice as well as spending more time with the family. Although it is difficult for Jen to trust her estranged husband right away, she is giving him another chance.

"Jen says she'll believe it when she sees it, but she's put the divorce on hold for now to give him one last chance," the insider revealed.

It seems that the couple is making progress. Last Saturday, Ben spent his 43rd   birthday with his family at an amusement park. While several reports suggested that the couple was tense, an eyewitness told E! News that the family had a great day. The couple was "smiling and the kids looked very happy and adorable too."
