Amazon Launches Amazon Go Just Walk Out App: Walk In, Grab, & Go! 3 Easy Steps In Their Cash-Free Store!

Imagine going into a store, getting whatever you wanted, and go out after without the long lines at the cashier. This is the latest innovation from the commerce giant Amazon, aptly called "Amazon Go." Also named "Just Walk Out" technology, it will be launched in beta format to Amazon employees.

According to TechCrunch, Amazon Go "Just Walk Out" technology will be released in Amazon's single 1,800 square foot Seattle store. It will be a "new kind of store with no checkout required." The customers, as of the moment only Amazon employees, will simply have to use the Go app and swipe upon entering the store.

When the Amazon Go "Just Walk Out" app is activated upon entering the store, it will record items picked up and/or returned to the shelf by customers, if they change their mind. Also, the Amazon Go app will not even require customers to use either a cart or basket. Talk about even more convenient.

Yahoo explained that the Amazon Go "Just Walk Out" instead uses a system of advanced algorithms and sensors to record products taken or returned by the customer. And when the customer leaves the store, Amazon Go "Just Walk Out" app automatically prompts an automatic payment, sending the purchase receipt to the customer's Amazon account.

As of this writing, Amazon has not confirmed if or when the Amazon Go "Just Walk Out" will be released to other retail stores or elsewhere, in general. However, the store, located at 2131 7th Ave, Seattle, WA, on the corner of 7th Avenue and Blanchard Street, will be open to the public beginning 2017. They only need to download the Amazon Go "Just Walk Out" app and ensure their Amazon account is active, per TechRadar.
