'Resident Evil 7' Latest News and Updates: Game Returns To Original Gameplay with Its Exploration-Based Puzzles

"Resident Evil 7" is all set to make the big release on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. However, there are many things that are still unclear about the game. The things that we know so far are a VR demo with no gameplay and a Lantern demo. No one is sure if the new installment would still include the same action sequence present in "Resident Evil"  5 and 6. However, we can anticipate that "Resident Evil" will remain loyal to its brand of horror.

It is reported that the early impressions of the fans who played "Resident Evil 7" may be more like its original gameplay. Based on the four hours of gameplay it is clear that the whole experience feels like a throwback to the original "Resident Evil" titles. The players experience a nostalgic feeling with "Resident Evil 7" when they are required to explore a certain area, solve various puzzles, and even figure out every piece of the story and the setting, reported Develop Online.

These are not the only similarities to the original "Resident Evil." Similar to the original gameplay, the player discovers a handgun, a knife, shotgun, grenade launcher, and a flamethrower- which are all the basic weapons in the game series. These weapons would not just plow through the enemies and ensure the survival of the player. Instead, these weapons should be used to try and escape perilous situations and give the player enough time to run.

It is true that the horror games are now facing challenges to develop modern content. Games such as "Resident Evil" and "Silent Hill" are having challenges with modern horror. It is, however, reported that "Resident Evil 7" will be able to separate itself in smaller details, reported GameRant.

It is reported that the new "Resident Evil 7" brings in a shift to the first- person. This aspect adds a similar anxiety to other modern horror games released in the past couple of years. "Resident Evil 7" is scheduled to be released on January 24, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
