It is always good to be given another chance in a foreign country coming from a war-torn country. It is good that many countries provide that refuge to those who need it the most, to recover from the trauma experienced from the chaotic country they came from. This is how the movie "Burn Country" reportedly begins.

However, one of the twists of the movie "Burn Country" is how the lead character begins his new life in a new place. apparently, this new job will put his life in more danger.

According to IMDb, the former Afghan journalist settles in a town in Northern California and takes a job in a local newspaper. As he attempts to cover a local crime, he stumbles into local corruption that puts himself and others in danger. Just when he is all set to live a renewed life, this problem arises.

The movie "Burn Country" is based on Old's 2009 documentary Fixer: The taking of Ajmal Naqshbandi according to Movie Insider. The movie is also known as The Fixer.

He can just turn a blind eye upon discovering the corruption, instead, he may get involved and in the process endangering his life and others. This is not so much of a problem as he still continues on to fight and stop the crime.

The movie "Burn Country" stars Award-winning actor James Franco. He is also joined by Melissa Leo, Rachel Brosnahan, Dominc Rains, Thomas Jay Ryan and James Oliver Wheatley.

The movie "Burn Country" will have its limited release on Dec. 9, 2016. The movie is directed and written by Ian Olds. Paul Felten also co-wrote the movie with Olds.
