‘Alien: Covenant’ Update: Sneak Peek Footage Caught Positive Reactions Like Wildfire! Fans To Expect Better Spinoff Than 'Prometheus'?

In New York, 20th Century Fox showcased "Alien: Covenant" by showing a sneak peek footage of the impending movie. Some of "Alien's" key executives divulged the disparity between "Alien" and "Prometheus", albeit they are connected. Now fans can expect the latter to be a more improved spinoff than the former.

During and after the event, the forthcoming movie received lots of positive reactions from the crowd and the media people which was not the case for "Prometheus". Clearly, the partial revelation of "Alien's" storyline surprised the audience in a positive way.

Many media personalities were present including CinemaBlend's Sean O'Connell who shared his thoughts on Scott's directing strategies. According to reports, the trailer although disturbing is quite promising and obviously inspired.

Despite "Prometheus, Ridley Scott still has a lot on his list of successful and great movies. There is no doubt that he will dissatisfy the viewers this time. An R-rating may be given to "Alien" due to its horror scenes and grisly acts. According to Fandango's Erik Davis, viewers might end up queasy watching the film, not that it's bad but because the film was ironically created to be gruesome and great. If you are planning to watch the film, expect several scenes to be bloody.

The movie will center on a colony ship named Covenant which was sent to space towards a remote planet. The ship's crew members have figured out a paradise in space which seems to be unregistered. This paradise, although dark, has one resident - Michael Fassbender's David, the only survivor of the Prometheus mission.

Movie producers have already released the artwork for its poster which somehow gave away what to anticipate in the film. The movie which obviously is about aliens is set to come in theaters starting May 19, 2017. This is one of those movies which is very much awaited.

More updates about the movie are still to be announced, so keep posted. As of the moment, enjoy watching the video below and share with us your thoughts.
