‘Tekken 7’ News & Updates: Home Version Adds Panda & Kuma In Its List of Playable Characters; Introduces Online Tournament Mode

The home version of 'Tekken 7' is announced to be released early next year for Xbox, Playstation 4 and PC. The addition of two new characters, Panda and Kuma, is a refreshing update that fans can look forward to.

'Tekken 7' has released a trailer featuring Panda and Kuma as the latest characters that fans can play. Kuma is Heihachi Mishima's pet and bodyguard who first appeared in 'Tekken 2'. He was found by Heihachi as a cub in the forest of the Mishima estate. After seeing the potential of Kuma's power, Heihachi decided to teach him martial arts as well as rudimental Japanese. Kuma is depicted as a brown grizzly bear and is often seen wearing a red scarf in previous 'Tekken' versions. In the trailer, Kuma is seen fighting his rival Paul Phoenix as he hits his opponent with his favorite food, salmon.

On the other hand, Panda is Ling Xiaoyu's friend and bodyguard. Her fighting skills is similar to Kuma's which is called the Kuma Shinken, also known as Advanced Bear Fighting. It is a fighting style developed by Heihachi Mishima and it includes claw sweeps, Demon Uppercut and Stonehead as well as farts and some weird moves. Panda is also Kuma's love interest but it seems that the former doesn't share the same sentiment.

Other playable characters include Heihachi, Kazumi Mishima, Akuma, Bob, Master Raven, Nina Williams, Marshall Laws, Shaheen, Gigas, Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, Josie Rizal, Devil Kazumi, Lucky Chloe and others. 'Tekken 7' list characters is based on the Fated Retribution update.

'Tekken 7' has also introduced an Online Tournament Mode. It will allow players to select their own tournament with 7 other players. Some features of this mode include single and double elimination option, secured tournament entrance and spectator mode. The tournament will also be giving away fight money and various items for the winner.
