'Super Mega Baseball 2' First Ever Trailer Released Featuring A More Realistic Graphics And A More Matured Gameplay

The teaser for "Super Mega Baseball 2" had been released in September, now the first gameplay trailer of the second installment of Super Mega Baseball was released by Metalhead.

The trailer reveals the improved art style and the gameplay. Co-founder of Metalhead, Scott Drader pointed out that the characters of the game have proportioned to have a more realistic-looking art style. It changed the first game's light-hearted vibe to a more matured direction.

Gamespot has noted the difference between the previous game and "Super Mega Baseball 2". With the changes made to the characters of the second installment of the game, Drader explained how this change would affect the gameplay in the sequel, since the new and improved animations would convey a better sense of athleticism.

More details of the game's stadium will also be displayed, as well as some rendering technology that makes various surfaces in the stadium react to light more interesting way. Polygon gave examples of how the rendering would improve the graphics of the game, making it more realistic. The hard plastic helmet of the character might reflect the sun rays, while the padding on the outfield fence would appear duller in the sunlight.

The difference of "Super Mega Baseball 2" will be very distinct from its predecessor. The original Super Mega Baseball debuted in December 2014, a game the showcased a solid baseball simulation with a kid-oriented art style. The original game was a Cross-buy game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 and was available to PC and Xbox One in 2015.

Drader has also said from the trailer that the game will be released in mid-2017 that can be played on the following platforms- PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. The trailer for the "Super Mega Baseball 2" shows the gameplay of the unfinished version of the game. Since the game is still on the works, there are still things that might change.
