The series "Mommy, I didn't do it" is set to premiere on the first day of 2017. The TV movie promises to deliver the necessary drama required when discussing the possible conviction of a teenager for a crime that she allegedly did not do. The series plays on the emotion of anger, forgiveness, tenacity and pure intense guts.

Not only will Ellen draw up all the needed strength to defend the accused teenager, she also has to battle it out with one of the toughest Detective Hamer who is reported to have grudges against her according to We Love Soaps.

As added by My Lifetime, Ellen knows that she can't trust anyone but herself to defend Julie, the accused teenager. However, Ellen discovers more and more evidence pointing to the guilt of the teenager.

As any mother would initially react, Ellen refused to believe the evidence she discovered. She is then geared towards finding the truth no matter what it takes, even if it means endangering her own daughter's life.
