‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 3 Answers Why Did Wes Die? Who’s The Father Of Laurel’s Baby?

The mid-season finale of “How to Get Away with Murder” didn’t just answer who’s under the sheet, but also left viewers asking many questions. Every season always had the viewers wanting more from the characters and season 3 is something different.

The first question is, why did Wes (Alfred Enoch) have to die? Viewers can all agree that Wes had a key role in the first two-and-a-half season of HTGAWM. However, his character also evolved in the third season especially when he began doubting Annalise (Viola Davis).

Yes, he doubted Annalise, but “How to Get Away with Murder” always some ulterior motives to their storyline. The reason could be that Wes had to die in order to bring Annalise out from the rut she’s been experiencing. However, it could also be that this will even bring her deeper than where she is right now, Entertainment Weekly reports.

It was revealed that Wes’ death wasn’t caused by the fire, he was already dead when the fire broke. So, will this be Annalise's reason to fight again and find the murderer?

It was also revealed that Laurel (Karla Souza) is pregnant. So, who’s the father?

Laurel and Wes had steamy encounters this season, but it could also be that Frank is the father. Laurel’s need to see Frank before admitting her feelings to Wes can be taken as a sign that she knows she’s pregnant with Frank’s child, TV Fanatic reports. However, this could be too simple for a “How to Get Away with Murder” plot.

Is this also one of the reasons why Wes had to die this season? The answer can probably be yes considering that Laurel’s character, especially with his father’s influence, plays an important role in the other half of this season.

Another cliffhanger question that everyone’s been asking since the midseason finale is who killed Wes. It’s also sure that it’s the person who burnt Annalise’s house in “How to Get Away with Murder.”
