Anniversary Patch Of 'Diablo 3' Features A Special Dungeon From The Original 'Diablo' Game

"Diablo 3" released its newest update 2.4.3 featuring a retro-style dungeon recreating the aspects of the original game, but it is only for a limited time. It is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

According to Gamespot, the purpose of the retro-style dungeon in "Diablo 3" is to recreate aspects of "Diablo". The update added feature special dungeon is part of the 20th-anniversary celebration of the game. A group of cultists could be tracked down in the Adventure mode allowing players to open a special portal. The special portal will lead the player to a 16 level dungeon where bosses and other elements that exist in the original installment are found.

Meanwhile, a report in Forbes states that the feature is a tribute to "Diablo" and it is placed within a great new game "Diablo 3". There are also a lot of renaming and reskinning in the new update of the 10th best-selling game of all time. Besides, the contents and the patches could be obtained for free.

In addition to the dungeon, features including an old-school UI, eight direction movements and retro-style sound and graphic effects are included. Meanwhile, it was recommended that in playing through the dungeon, a player may make a new character though not required according to Blizzard.

Since it is for its anniversary celebration, the special event is only for a limited period. The special event will end before the second month of the year starts. In order to mark the anniversary of the franchise, it will return in future years. Moreover, a precursor event is ordinarily featured from January 1 to 3 according to Blizzard.

New items are also added elsewhere in the patch. There is an addition to the Akkhan set, the seventh piece of the Crusader's Armor. New Legendary powers are also received by a number of class-specific Legendaries. However, if the items are already possessed by the players, then a new one is needed to experience the changed effects.
