'The Eyes Of My Mother' Is One Of The Best Horror Movies Of 2016!

The movie "The Eyes of my Mother" has received good review and feedback from both moviegoers and strict movie critics as it was released back in Dec. Though this was only limited release, it is expected to be in more theaters as it is considered one of the best horror flicks 2016 has ever seen.

Sure, it may not be as commercialized and popular as "The Conjuring 2" which was shown earlier in 2016, but it does bring a different form of fright and scare. It may not have the bone-chilling and fist-clinching scenes that "The Conjuring 2" has but has a different attack.

The movie "The Eyes of my Mother" is first and foremost shot entirely black and white. The movie is supposed to depict the 50s or 60s era so the black and white effect made it more realistic. The gore and blood were present but only after surgery and gruesome activities were executed. This can make the squeamish relax a bit.

According to Movie Insider, the movie revolves around the story of Francisca, who lives secluded in their farmhouse. She was taught by her mother, a former surgeon from Portugal information about the human anatomy so she can be unfazed by death.

One stranger went to their house which shattered and traumatized the little Francisca. With this unfortunate incident that happened to her family, her curiosity on anatomy became even more intense. This is the time when everything else went haywire with her and other people. Gruesome acts spring forth from this curiosity of hers.

As added by Rotten Tomatoes, the movie which stars Kika Magalhaes as Francisca is also joined by actors Will Brill as Charlie, Flora Diaz as Lucy, Clara Wong as Kimiko, Diana Agostini as the mother and many more. It received good ranking from the website, a reliable one in terms of movie reviews.

The movie "The Eyes of my Mother" got 77 percent in the Tomatometer with an average of 6.7 out of possible 10 points. People have also liked it as translated by the site's rating of 63 percent covering a total of 1,794 reviews.
