First Ever Alien Encounter With Thargoids Makes 'Elite: Dangerous' More Exciting To Play

The Thargoids made their first contact with "Elite: Dangerous" players. The game is becoming a lot scarier and its universe becoming bigger more than two years from the time it was released.

Nothing has turned up for years other than hints, references and ruins that can be found in "Elite" games. Players kept on searching for any signs of alien life, but they failed until this week.

Clips were uploaded by DP Sayre, an "Elite: Dangerous" player, who had his first encounter with the Thargoids. The clip shows how players are pulled out of space as their disabled spacecraft was being scanned by Thargoids. The encounter looks intimidating and spooky even if it is the first time a gamer played the game. The said clips were uploaded to Xbox DVR. 

According to Forbes, players can now encounter face to face with beautiful, but terrifying alien ships. It is absolutely awesome because they finally showed up after years of searching in the galaxy. 

A Thargoid is a flower like vessel that scans the ships of the players before they are thrown out of hyperspace. Although its function is up to that extent, it is believed that it is an indication that something big is coming. Some players are trying to figure out the mystery behind the Thargoids. 

According to Polygon, the appearance of Thargoids in "Elite: Dangerous" has already been planned since 2012. They belong to the insectoid race and they already appeared in Frontier games.  

Michael Brookes executive producer of the game said that the flower like vessels are still around. However, he pointed out that they will appear as encounters in their initial release, but they are still planning to make something in the future. The history of Thargoids is not known much that is why it is still a mystery that needs to be discovered.
