Amy Duggar, Dillon King Married: Reality Star Admits 'It's A Relief' To Change Her Name

The Duggars were on a hot seat after Josh Duggar's molestation scandal broke. Amy Duggar, Josh's cousin, was also featured in the now-canceled reality show "19 Kids and Counting," which brought the Duggars into stardom. The newly wed seems to imply that having her last name changed would make her life easier

According to Entertainment Tonight, Amy will now proudly call herself Amy King. She even admitted "it's a relief" to finally drop the Duggar and have King for her last name. "It feels like the stress is gone. I don't have to be perfect anymore. I don't have to worry about wearing long skirts. And I got to marry my best friend!"

Amy had already expressed her excitement to change her last name." I'm so excited to take his last name, which I heard is trending [on Twitter] right now, that I'm ready to change my last name, which is the funniest thing, but I mean it's true," she told US Weekly. Amy believes that it will be awesome to become a King.

Amy and Dillon exchanged their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony in Bentonville, Ark., last Sunday, Sept. 6. With regards to their speech, she admitted that they purposely kept it short and fun but they made sure that it was meaningful and sincere.

Among the guests in attendance were her extended family Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar with their children. Also present was her cousin-in-law Anna Duggar. Josh and Anna's oldest daughter Mackynzie, 5, served as the flower girl in the wedding ceremony, People has learned.

The controversial Josh who made headlines again after the molestation scandal by being involved in the infidelity site Ashley Madison was reportedly undergoing a rehabilitation. He was noticeably absent in the event.

Amy shared that she gave Anna a big hug upon seeing her. The bride was obviously pleased to see the Duggars in her big day because she gave Anna and her aunt Michelle gifts.

"I gave my Aunt Michelle a huge hug. And I got them gifts to make them feel welcome—I gave Anna a gift card to get her nails done—she deserves to pamper herself. I gave Aunt Michelle a gift certificate to her favorite restaurant. We're really thankful they came," she told Entertainmen Weekly.

If the family remains conservative in their stand regarding Josh's unfaithfulness to his wife Anna, the groom was bold enough to speak his mind. Dillon thinks Josh had "consciously made the decision to cheat" and  he believes it's time for Anna to leave him.

As for the newly wed, they are already very excited  to start their married lives.
