'Girl Meets World' Season 2 Finale & Spoilers: Title Revealed, Middle School Graduation & Everything You Need To Know

Disney Channel's teen series "Girl Meets World" is set to return for a special episode on Friday, Sept. 11, and it is going to be special.

According to Bustle, the episode will finally tackle Farkle's Asperger's, and it's a deeply serious subject for the show as it attempts to cover acceptance and empathy. It should be noted that in the last episode of "Girl Meets World" before it went on hiatus, Farkle suspected that he may have the condition. In the upcoming episode, he will receive the support of his friends, who will be doing their own research on Asperger's syndrome.

 "Three experts consulted on the episode to help deliver an authentic storyline that can spark conversation among kids and their families. They are: Elizabeth Laugeson, Psy.D, The Help Group; child development consultant Arthur Pober, Ed.D.; and Shiela Wagner, M.Ed., retired, Emory Autism Center," Disney said in its press release via TV By The Numbers.

Farkle's parents, Stuart Minkus (played by Lee Norris) and Jennifer Bassett Minkus (played by Kristanna Loken), are expected to be on the episode as well. The characters first appeared in the parent series, "Boy Meets World," back in the 80s.

Farkle is the perfect character to carry the Asperger's storyline as he has been aware of his uniqueness in the past seasons. The subject is also timely and applicable as more and more people are becoming aware of the condition. Asperger's syndrome is part of the autism spectrum disorder, where over 3.5 million Americans are reportedly affected, according to Autism Society.

Meanwhile, the rest of season two will have the kids preparing to say goodbye to their final years in middle school as River and Maya chart a new future as seniors. The upcoming episode list are as follows, according to Spoiler TV:
