Louis Tomlinson Custody Battle: Temporary Settlement Reached; Tomlinson Could Now See Son After Baby Mama's Refusal

Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth have reached a temporary settlement, allowing the One Direction singer to see his son, Freddie Reign, after a custody battle. This is a huge relief for Tomlinson  who was previously denied by Briana to see his one-month-old son.

Just Jared reported that the 24-year-old singer hired lawyers to protect his rights as the father of Freddie and to ensure that he gets to see his son. The efforts of his lawyers paid off as Tomlinson could now visit his son for several hours in a week, albeit he is not allowed to stay overnight with Freddie.

According to the Daily Mail, the refusal of Jungwirth to allow Tomlinson to see his son was what prompted the custody battle. In addition to her refusal, Tomlinson alleged that Jungwirth was asking for staggering amounts in terms of financial support, which was not acceptable for him.

Reports have it that Tomlinson provided a three-bedroom home for Jungwirth and Freddie in Calabasas. Aside from this, he also rented a home worth $21 million in Los Angeles, just to be close to his son.

There were also previous rumors that the singer was not the father of Freddie, but he was adamant that he is. He and Jungwirth dated exclusively at the time she got pregnant. The singer also didn't bother to undergo a DNA test to prove his paternity.

It can be recalled that the two were not officially in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, but they were often seen hanging out together in Los Angeles clubs. Despite this, Tomlinson was quite proud and happy when Freddie was born. He even tweeted, "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing, I'm very happy!!"

The temporary settlement reached between Tomlinson and Jungwirth may not be the end to the custody battle over Freddie. For Tomlinson, it can be treated as a breather, giving him a chance to be with Freddie even for just several hours a week.
