‘Steven Universe’ Season 2 Spoilers & Updates: Leaked Clips Reveal Return of Alexandrite and Malachite

"Steven Universe" Season 2 is still on a hiatus with no definite date of return on Cartoon Network. Recently leaked clips, however, were enough to send fans and viewers into a state of frenzy, as the videos reveal the return of certain characters.

"Steven Universe" Season 2 leaked clips reveal the return of Peridot, Alexandrite, Stevenmelons and Lapis Lazuli, iDigitalTimes reported. The first clip entitled "Giant Fight" showed Malachite battling with the Alexandrite.

This might provide the answers to the longstanding question raised among "Steven Universe" fans and viewers when it was revealed that Lapis Lazuli will be returning to the show. Lapis was last seen in the series at the bottom of the ocean as the fused Malachite version with Jasper.

Several "Steven Universe" theories and speculations came about surrounding Lapis' un-fusion from Jasper, but it looks like this battle between Malachite and Alexandrite will put these rumors to rest. The publication noted that it would have taken the fusion of three Gems to take down the Malachite fusion.

Fans, however, commented that the Alexandrite fusion is a combination of four Gems, not three.

The "Steven Universe" clip also showed the return of Stevenmelons, but this time, they returned with older melons and younger ones. Another clip entitled, "Spaceship Smashdown" was also released.

According to the publication, the clip showed Lapis with the Crystal Gems, which somewhat backs earlier theories that Steven can convince Lapis to join the Crystal Gems, Movie Pilot reported.

The publication noted that Steven may be the key to make Lapis join the Crystal Gems in "Steven Universe" Season 2. Steven and Lapis have built a lasting relationship and have been good friends ever since and Steven is the only person Lapis trusts.
