This article contains spoilers. Read on if you want to learn more about this story.

"Outlander" Season 2 will see the return of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), Frank or Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies), which is bound to make things more complicated and quite interesting.

As seen in the recently released trailer for the upcoming season of "Outlander," Claire reunites with her husband, Frank, who welcomes her wholeheartedly despite the fact that she is pregnant with another man's child.

In a recent interview with TVGuide.com, Caitriona Balfe shared that Claire and Frank's relationship seems like a tragedy.

"People bash on Frank, but the poor guy gets this woman back that he loves and she's pregnant with another man's child," she told the outlet. "She tells him that she's never going to love him again and that's very tragic."

Balfe further stated that Claire and Jamie are the perfect example of "true soulmates," as their love transcends time and space. Comparing Claire's relationship with Frank, whom she thought was more of a teacher-student relationship, Balfe shared that Jamie and Claire's relationship was equal.

As most fans know, "Outlander" Season 2 will be based on Diana Gabaldon's second book, "Dragonfly in Amber." Changes are bound to be expected when translating a novel into a TV series, but just how much change should fans expect in Season 2?

Sam Heughan shared during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming season of "Outlander" will be very different.

"Season 2 is certainly a whole new show," Heughan said.

Balfe aired the same sentiments and said that "Outlander" Season 2 is different in such a way that there is more "political weaving and maneuvering."

"Outlander" Season 2 premieres on Apr. 9 on Starz.
