‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Finale Revealed; Ian Somerhalder Blames Nina Dobrev over Show’s Cancellation

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 is on the brink of cancellation if recent reports and claims prove to be true. While the rumored cancellation of the CW drama is said to be due to the drop in the ratings, Ian Somerhalder is allegedly blaming his ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev over the show's worrisome future.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 may be the show's series finale, Celeb Dirty Laundry reported. Signs that the show is headed for the chopping block began when the series was moved to a Friday night timeslot.

Most outlets believe that the change in the timeslot is a big hint that the CW is already considering the show's cancellation after Season 7. However, much of the drop in the ratings of "TVD" came after actress Nina Dobrev decided to leave the show after Season 6.

According to the publication, when Dobrev decided to leave "The Vampire Diaries" in order to pursue her career in the movie industry, ratings began to drop for the show. As most fans and viewers know, Dobrev and Somerhalder's characters were a fan-favorite on the show.

Even as of writing, many "Delena" fans are still hoping to see Damon and Elena back together. Rumors are rife that Dobrev may return for the finale if the current season of "TVD" is truly its series finale.

This allegedly made Somerhalder furious, as Dobrev's decision has affected everyone in "The Vampire Diaries." The publication noted that Somerhalder may be blaming Dobrev if the show really does get cancelled after Season 7.

Meanwhile, finale dates for several CW shows have already been released, TVLine reported.

According to the publication, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 finale will be on May 13. The publication noted that the said finale date for the series is on Friday the 13th, which will definitely show whether this day is a lucky one or not.
