According to People, Kate Middleton and Prince William took the long walk at the Taj Mahal. They did the whole process in a slow and solemn manner, yet during that time, paparazzis didn't catch any PDA-worthy shot.

The lack of display of emotion during official trips is said to be a norm for royalty and not something that Kate Middleton and Prince William do to avoid setting a bad example for kids. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are known to hug during sports events, but they hardly do when they are on official trips.

Since the trip to India and Bhutan is sanctioned by the British monarchy, every activity Prince William and Kate Middleton engage in during the trip is deemed as official business. This has been compelling the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to refrain from any show of affection with each other.

However, according to Myka Meier, a royal etiquette expert, there is no royal protocol or any form of etiquette which will have Kate Middleton and Prince William refraining from PDA. Per Independent, the only reason she gave was that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge work as representatives of the British Monarchy. Prince William and Kate Middleton's lack of PDA makes them look professional.

One of the most memorable moments between Kate Middleton and Prince William was their trip to Uluru, Australia. Here, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kept a small distance from each other, that Prince William was even heard telling Kate Middleton, "So, what shall we talk about?"

During the recent trip to Bhutan, the only time that Prince William and Kate Middleton was seen being close to each other was when they were making their way up to the Tiger's Nest monastery. What were they doing? Putting their arms around each other.
