Harley Quinn Movie in The Works, DC Fans Will Get To Watch "Suicide Squad" With Their Kids Due to its Non-R Rating

Parents that are fond of DC comics will be thrilled as the upcoming "Suicide Squad" would not go for the R-rating. Another film to look forward to aside from "Suicide Squad" is Harley Quinn's very own spin-off.

Hollywood Reporter mentioned that Warner Bros will soon come up with a movie from one of DC's favorite female villain. Margot Robbie, who was cast as Harley Quinn for DC's female hero-villain on "Suicide Squad," is said to reprise her role for the spin-off.

Another interesting detail that Hollywood Reporter mentioned is the fact that Harley Quinn will be joined by several other DC female characters. Though the details aren't fully revealed yet, it was mentioned that Batgirl and Birds of Prey will be part of the spin-off.

As parents are thrilled for the upcoming Harley Quinn spin-off, a family affair was planned by DC for their fans with kids. It was revealed that parents can take their kids to watch "Suicide Squad." Collider mentioned that Charles Roven himself noted that they would stick to an R-rating.

"So our plan right now is to make all these films PG-13. In some cases, you know, right there on the edge of PG-13, but still PG-13."

It is important for parents to be with their children when it comes to choosing the films to watch. Though it may be just a film, but for young children, it the heroes (or the villains) can potentially their role models.

Washington Post, on the other hand, noted that gun violence in PG-13 movies made a drastic increase since it was implemented. In a research published in the journal of "Pediatrics," it was revealed that violence in films doubled since the 1950's.

Dan Romer, the co-author of the study pointed out that despite being rated as PG-13, several films including "The Hunger Games," "The Dark Knight Rises," and "Snow White and the Huntsman," displayed a significant amount of violence.
