‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Spoilers: Elena Wakes Up, Stops Damon From Killing Spree?

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may see the reunion of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, as the upcoming season of The CW series is rumored to be its last. With Damon being lured into the vault after hearing Elena's voice, will Elena wake up from her deep sleep to save Damon?

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 spoilers hint on the possibility that Elena (Nina Dobrev) will wake up from sleep now that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is out on a killing spree. As fans can recall, Damon heard Elena's voice, which lured him into entering the vault.

"TVD" closed off with Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice King) learning that Damon and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) were responsible for the killing spree in another town. Since Elena's voice was the one responsible for luring Damon into the vault, will Elena be also able to save Damon from completely turning to the evil side once again?

Kat Graham announced that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will be her last as Bonnie. This means that if Bonnie will be gone from Mystic Falls, Elena will wake up from sleep.

TVLine reported that the fate of Damon and Enzo in "TVD" Season 8 still remains to be seen. According to showrunner Julie Plec, they are still not done finalizing the storylines for the upcoming season.

Candice King also told IGN in an interview that fans will have to look forward to Alaric's role in saving Damon and Enzo on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. King also admitted that things may become more complicated for "Steroline" next season.

King also hopes that Stefan and Caroline may enjoy some more moments on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. However, she admitted that Caroline may take a step back the moment Stefan pushes for their relationship.

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is expected to premiere this fall on The CW.
