"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 spoilers reveal that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev may finally share the same screen once again. As seen in the season 7 finale of The CW series, Damon and Enzo were trapped inside a vault after trying to save Bonnie (Kat Graham).

Later on, Stefan (Paul Wesley) learned that Damon and Enzo were responsible for the deaths in another part of the country. In "TVD" Season 8, fans will finally discover the villain or creature that lured Damon and Enzo into the vault, reports Yahoo! TV.

Julie Plec explained that the identity of this mystery creature will be revealed on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Bonnie will also be the one experiencing the most pain from this incident, as her best friend and true love are both involved in the situation.

Fans began speculating that Bonnie may decide to sacrifice herself in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 in order to save Damon and Enzo from destroying themselves. This might pave the way for Dobrev's return to the series as Elena Gilbert; after all, Plec confirmed the actress' return in an interview with TVLine.

As most fans know, Graham has already announced her departure after "TVD" Season 8 and with Bonnie gone, this means Elena will soon wake up from her sleep. Elena may help save Damon, as the latter was lured into entering the vault when he heard Elena's voice.
