J.R. Smith, who is currently a free agent and is Cleveland Cavaliers' shooting guard, has been rumored to be making his way to Los Angeles Lakers as they have already signed a deal. Due to this, Nick Young was let go by the Los Angeles Lakers and will be part of the Cleveland Cavaliers next NBA season.

Many are saying that Smith is asking for a salary of $15 million per year making Cleveland Cavaliers question if they want to keep him.

Eric Pincus of Basketball Insider claims that because Cleveland Cavaliers might not give in to what Smith is asking, the Los Angeles Lakers is targeting a Jose Calderon-like deal. Other free agents are also being considered by Los Angeles Lakers.

As for the reports that Nick Young was traded to play for Cleveland Cavaliers next season after J.R. Smith was pursued by Los Angeles Lakers, it is possible that the former fiancé of rapper Iggy Azalea will be taking Smith's place on Cleveland Cavaliers as his price is way cheaper than that of Smith. Young is said to be asking $11 million.

Smith has been averaging 13.2 points per game in his career and is a consistent double-figure scorer. As for Young, he is also known as a scorer throughout his nine years in NBA and has 11.8 points per game.

Other reports are saying that Los Angeles Lakers has been looking for a team to take Young in but there are reportedly no teams showing interest.
