'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Release Date, News & Update: ‘TWD’ Cast Spotted Filming At The Beach? Character Speculations Confirmed?

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 cast has a newcomer and with "TWD" spotted filming at Jekyll Island in Georgia, points to a significant Robert Kirkman character. In "The Walking Dead" comic books, this character is called Pete, but will be called Brion in the AMC series.

Parent Herald cites reports that AMC has yet to confirm if "The Walking Dead" Season 7 will cast Pete as a male or a female in Brion. The only thing certain is that as Pete, the new "The Walking Dead" Season 7 cast addition Brion is a leader who may attract the loyalty of some of the Alexandria survivors.

Report by OLV that "The Walking Dead" cast had been spotted filming on a beach location (specifically Jekyll Island in Georgia) lends a glimmer of hope that someone will step up while Rick Grimes descends into his darkest depths yet. As Cinema Blend reports, only one "The Walking Dead" leader was written by Robert Kirkman with a base close to a body of water - Pete.

In "The Walking Dead" canon, Pete will save Michonne from committing suicide and even spend some romantic time with Rick Grimes' girlfriend. However, since the AMC series did a bunch of musical chairs with the characters, Michonne committing suicide or dating Pete in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 may be changed.

While the media outlet proposes that the buzzed "The Walking Dead" Season 7 cast addition Brion will be based on Pete, "TWD" fans have no guarantee that the AMC series will not give Pete or Brion a twist. At best, anyone who takes Brion as a leader - if he or she is based on Pete - will find the new "The Walking Dead" Season cast addition to be capable, knowledgeable and enigmatic.

Brion will be joining other "The Walking Dead" luminaries as Gregory (Xander Berkeley) from the Hilltop colony, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) of the Kingdom and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) of The Saviors in Season 7.
