According to Irish Mirror, Conor McGregor has now worth $22 million, making him the only MMA fighter on the Forbes top 100 list.

Conor McGregor jump started his MMA career in 2008, and he continuously works his way to the top. Though Conor McGregor managed to stay on top of his came, he went through a devastating defeat after losing to Nate Diaz back in March at UFC 196. The Irish fighter then made a shocking announcement on Twitter where he mentioned that he'll be retiring at an early age.

Conor McGregor might have lost his battle with Nate Diaz for UFC 196, but the Irish MMA fighter managed to cash in a huge paycheck. McGregor was paid a total of $1,000,000 despite losing his battle.

Conor McGregor got into a conflict with the UFC president Dana White, but was eventually sorted. It was mentioned that Conor McGregor wants to focus on his training to go against Nate Diaz for UFC 202, thus he refused to move forward with promotional responsibilities.

In a statement, Conor McGregor expressed his sentiments stating that he does not want to lose his focus on his training, thus he refused to commit on other non-training responsibilities. He then mentioned that he is paid to fight, and not to promote.

"I am paid to fight. I am not yet paid to promote," Conor McGregor wrote. "I feel the $400.0 million I have generated for the company in my last three events, all inside eight months, is enough to get me this slight leeway."
