The theater actress, who rose to fame after winning the Laurence Olivier Award and Tony Award for her role in the musical "Miss Saigon," played Aunt Myrna last season, Rappler reported. In fact, she also sang the song "One Describable Instant" during Jayma's wedding reception. This makes a possible "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2 return exciting for Salonga.

In other "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2 news, star and creator Rachel Bloom has announced that Brittany Snow will be joining the show for a guest arc in the second season, Indie Wire reported. Snow will play Anna in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2 and she is also assured to have at least one major music number during the three episodes she will be in. Snow already has experience with musicals. After all, she is one of the stars of the two films in the "Pitch Perfect" franchise.

"Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" season 2 will start airing on Friday, October 21, at 9 pm ET on the CW.
