‘The Originals' Season 4 Release Date, News & Update: Klaus Mikaelson, Mikaelsons Face With Hayley Marshall Worst Villain To Appear In New Orleans

"The Originals" Season 4 resumes the tale of Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) as a captive by his son Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) and with Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin) raising Hope (Summer Fontana) while looking to save the Mikaelsons. According to executive producer Michael Narducci, "The Originals" Season 4 premiere will be fast-paced as it picks up from the five-year time jump that follows the S3 finale, "The Bloody Crown."

Klaus Mikaelson won't be able to escape Marcel Gerard's dungeon soon enough and Hayley Marshall won't be able to revive the Mikaelsons quick enough when "The Originals" returns. Speaking to TV Equals, Michael Narducci says that Klaus Mikaelson and his siblings Freya (Riley Voelkel), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) will be forced to face a bigger monster than the Mikaelsons in "The Originals" Season 4.

  "The Originals" fans had been concerned that the good Klaus Mikaelson from the Season 3 finale is here to stay. Michael Narducci promises that although Klaus Mikaelson developed a sense of self-awareness under the influence of Cami O'Connell (Leah Pipes) and after the birth of his daughter Hope, the original hybrid is as lethal in "The Originals" Season 4 as when he first started.

Michael Narducci said that this means "The Originals" fans will see Klaus Mikaelson just as angry and manipulative and just as prone to narcissism and paranoia in Season 4. According to Michael Narducci, the only difference is that Klaus Mikaelson will have developed a conscience of sorts in "The Originals" Season 4 and so has an awareness that anything he does impacts Hope and his family.

Still Klaus Mikaelson, despite having discovered his ability to forgive and do the right thing, will remain quite lethal to his enemies. As Joseph Morgan told Showbiz Junkies, fans of The CW series will discover just how dangerous Klaus Mikaelson can be in "The Originals" Season 4.

Just as well considering that Michael Narducci warned "The Originals" fans that Season 4 will quickly descend into horror after settling the initial family drama of reuniting Klaus MIkaelson, the Mikaelsons, Hayley Marshall and Hope. "The Originals" Season 4 monster in question honors no boundaries as it preys on the children of New Orleans putting Hope Mikaelson in danger.
