The Independent reports that the publishers of George R.R. Martin were quick to do damage control when Amazon France seemed to have leaked March 9, 2017 as "The Winds Of Winter" release date. Although the clarification verified that "The Winds Of Winter" remains a work in progress, Random House gratifyingly promised that announcement of "TWOW" completion by George R.R. Martin will be a grand occasion.
