Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are hoping to see Nina Dobrev reprise her role as Elena in the final "TVD" season. However, is Ian Somerhalder's ex returning if she prefers the big screens over the small screens?

There are rumors that Nina Dobrev will join the new "Twilight" film. The "The Vampire Diaries" star will reportedly replace Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan.

Per the report, Kristen Stewart already expressed her lack of interest to reprise her role as Bella Swan in the popular film series, "Twilight." However, the "TVD" alum Nina Dobrev has also shown some interest in picking up the role.

According to  Movie News Guide, Kristen Stewart is moving away from the film that catapulted her to fame as Nina Dobrev is set to star the next "Twilight" film along with Robert Pattinson. The "The Vampire Diaries" alum, Nina Dobrev is keen in playing Stephanie Meyer's epic vampire love story.

Although some might find this likely, given that both "TVD" and "Twilight" are vampire shows, not all fans might be supportive of this. Kristen Stewart might change her sexual preference but the actress has already made a mark in playing "Twilight's" Bella Swan.

There were also reports about Taylor Swift replacing Vanessa Hudgen's role in "High School Musical 4" but fans would rather have "HSM4" canceled than welcome the "Bad Blood" singer.
