Matt LeBlanc Chooses Between Rachel And Monica Of 'Friends' When Asked By Lady Gaga

In an interview with singer Lady Gaga, Matt LeBlanc revealed that as Joey, he would rather pick Phoebe over Rachel and Monica in the 90s TV series "Friends." On "The Late Show With James Corden," Gaga became the guest and asked Matt LeBlanc the question, "Who would you rather, Monica or Rachel?"

The actor revealed that he would choose Phoebe instead, even though his character Joey had declared love for Rachel in season 8 of "Friends." True fans of the show would not be too surprised - Bustle reported that in episode 25 of season 6 there was an implication that Matt LeBlanc's character and Phoebe were made for each other.

The episode shows Rachel talking to Phoebe about finding matches who could be their backups in case they were still 40 and unmarried. Phoebe declares Joey to be her backup but in the end, they drew lots instead. When Rachel picks Matt LeBlanc's character, Joey, the two decide to swap and Joey agreed.

Joey ends up with Phoebe and Rachel with Ross. However, it wasn't the first time that Matt LeBlanc had wanted the characters to end up together. In an interview with "People," Matt LeBlanc claimed that they had been pitching the idea that Joey and Phoebe were having casual sex the entirety of the show.

When Matt LeBlanc was asked the question by Gaga, he made a series of uncomfortable facial expressions and stammered. According to Billboard, Matt LeBlanc replied, "I would have me some Phoebe." He followed it up, saying that Phoebe was bendy as a character.

Phoebe was quoted to be describing herself in similar fashion in season 5, US Weekly reported. Matt LeBlanc played Joey in "Friends" from 1994 to 2004 and have been nominated three times for an Emmy. He was also nominated for three Golden Globe awards.

Matt LeBlanc also starred in the "Friends" spin-off show "Joey" which had two seasons. It followed Matt LeBlanc's character trying to pursue his acting career by moving to L.A. It was revealed by the actor that he wanted to do a spin-off for Joey's character development.
