‘Pokemon Go’ FastPokeMap To Permanently Rest? More Third Party Scanners May Come Back After FPM Developer Released Game’s Secret API Source Codes

"Pokemon Go" FastPokeMap developer released the game's API source code to allow other developers find their way to Niantic Labs' servers. However, the FastPokeMap developer cautioned that making a call to the API will not be easy. It is a "money hole" according to the FPM developer.

"Pokemon Go" players who are relying on FastPokeMap may no longer be able to see the tracker running once again. This is because the FPM developer purportedly turned his back on the tracker and the game because of Niantic Labs' unending schemes in turning down third-party scanners. "Pokemon Go's" newly released update apparently blocked FastPokeMap, causing the FPM developer to disable the site again.

"Pokemon Go" players, however, need not lose hope as the FPM developer revealed the secret codes for other developers to crack Niantic Labs' servers. According to the FPM developer, those who have the ability to use the API in making calls to "Pokemon Go's" servers may utilize the API source code for them to revive their bots and make their scanners work again. However, he also warned that it may cost time and money which the developers would only discover when they successfully make the first API call work, i4u reported.

In addition, the FPM developer claimed that Niantic Labs won and that he would not want to spend his skills on Niantic who only wants to profit from the game. The FPM developer gave up on fixing FastPokeMap and left the "Pokemon Go" developer community. This came after FastPokeMap was apparently attacked by DDos while its data was scrapped.

FastPokeMap was shut down after its comeback in less than a week. Some "Pokemon Go" players were still able to use the site for a couple of days after Niantic Labs released their latest security update. However, the FPM developer claimed that he can no longer continue running the site to protect accounts from being banned, Parent Herald reported.

"Pokemon Go" players are reportedly exasperated by how Niantic Labs want to turn down third party scanners without proposing a better Pokemon tracker that can help trainers enjoy the game better. It remains to be seen if Niantic Labs will finally launch a brand new tracker to appease "Pokemon Go" players. In the meantime, watch how FastPokeMap works in the video below.
