'How To Train Your Dragon 3' News and Update: Goodbye Toothless? Plot Details, Release Date And New Characters Revealed!

The third installment of the renowned animated film "How to Train Your Dragon" is set to show on May 18, 2018, after its turnover to Universal Studios from DreamWorks Animation. This time, Hiccup is already a teenager! We're expecting more challenges and new things to come Hiccup's way.

"How to Train Your Dragon" director Dean DeBlois teased parts of the third installation. Since Hiccup has grown up, more oppressors are expected to appear. According to the director, "How to Train Your Dragon 3" will show Hiccup and Toothless as leaders in their respective clans, overseeing and protecting their tribes.

The animated movie "How to Train Your Dragon 3" is based on a book series by Cressida Cowell. Director DeBlois divulged that "How to Train Your Dragon's" third installation will feature Cressida Cowell's beginning in the book.

 In Cowell's book, "How To Train Your Dragon", lead character Hiccup has already come of age and is now recalling the times when dragons still existed. The first line of the book reads, "There were Dragons when I was a boy." Does this mean Toothless won't be around any longer?

Speculations about Hiccup and Toothless parting have started going around. According to a report, some fans already anticipated "How to Train Your Dragon 3" not to have any additional dragon cast.
