Jason Momoa show "Frontier" is set to stream on Netflix this coming January 20, 2017. "Frontier" was originally released last November 6 by Discovery Canada.

"Frontier" is a six-part historical drama about the warring factions trying to control the fur trade in Canada in the 1700s. The series is told from multiple perspectives and takes place in a situation where business negotiations are often resolved through hatchet fights. "Frontier" also shows the delicate balance the Native tribes and Europeans have with dealing with each other where one mishap can lead to even bigger conflicts.

Jason Momoa is popularly known as Khal Drogo in "Game Of Thrones" and the titular Aquaman in the upcoming Marvel movies, "Aquaman" and "Justice League", is the lead actor for "Frontier". Jason Momoa plays the character Declan Harp, an ambitious and ruthless trader, driven by lust for power and revenge. Declan Harp heads a rogue fur trading group called the Black Wolf Company.

The executive producer of "Frontier" and actor, Alan Hawco, plays Douglas Brown, a businessman working with the Low River Company. Jessica Matten, plays Sokanon a fellow hunter and trapper for the Black Wolf Company. Landon Liboiron, Shawn Doyle, Alun Armstrong, and Zoe Boyle are among the cast of "Frontier".

"Frontier" was shot in Newfoundland, Canada in order to capture the authentic feel of the fur trading business in Canada back in the 1700s. Adding to the authenticity of "Frontier" is the costume that incorporates eighteenth-century wardrobe among them flowy blouses, velvet suits, and fur coats. Interestingly, one of the fur coats worn by Jason Momoa in "Frontier" is based on the collection of coats the actor personally have.

Fans will be seeing more of "Frontier" as it has already been renewed for a second season per the Hollywood Reporter. "Frontier" is directed by Brad Peyton who also directed the 2015 disaster movie, "San Andreas". "Frontier" is currently airing in Discovery Canada and will be available in the U.S through Netflix this coming January 20, 2017.
