‘Making A Murderer’ Spoilers: Brendan Dassey Is Ordered To Be Released By Judge, Prosecutors Appeal?

Brendan Dassey one of the subjects of the "Making A Murderer" documentary by Netflix is set to be released from prison as a Wisconsin judge orders his release but will be under supervision. As reported by the Associated Press, it is still unclear when exactly this is but Brendan Dassey was given until noon on Tuesday, November 15 to submit details of where he plans to stay after being released.

According to CNN, U.S. Magistrate Judge William Duffin was the judge who ordered Dassey's release despite having prosecutors appeal on his previous ruling overturning the 27-year-old's conviction. Judge Duffin ruled the overturn because he finds that the rights of Brendan Dassey were violated because he was interrogated by the police with no adult supervision - he was 16 years old then.

TMZ recently reports that with the present turn of events, the state filed a motion to prevent Brendan Dassey from being set free. The state of Wisconsin wants him to stay in prison because according to them he is a "serious public safety issue" and that even if he confessed involuntarily, it does not necessarily mean he did not commit the murder. Brendan Dassey could be released anytime soon, that's why a judge should act on the motion soon if they want to prevent this from happening.

Brendan Dassey and his uncle, Steven Avery has been imprisoned since 2007 for the murder of Teresa Halbach. Both Dassey and Avery were found guilty in Halbach's death and the burning of her body in separate trials.

Brenda Dassey and Steven Avery's case became popular when Netflix' "Making A Murderer" debuted last year. "Making A Murderer" is a series investigating if Dassey and Avery were unfairly sentenced for Halbach's murder.

Meanwhile, Steven Avery is serving a life sentence but is set to seek a new trial claiming he was framed.
