‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Release Date, News And Update: Rebecca Ferguson and Jeremy Renner Not Returning? [SPOILERS]

"Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" was an international success for Paramount so it's no surprise that Paramount is planning to deliver "Mission: Impossible 6," another sequel of the "Mission: Impossible" installment is going to hit theaters. Paramount Pictures and Skydance media have set a release date for summer of 2018.

Previously, it was reported by the Hollywood Reporter that the release date of "MI:6" will be in June or July of 2017. Yet this plan could change and indeed it has changed since that recent reports surfaced that "Mission: Impossible 6" is scheduled to be released summer of 2018 according to Coming Soon.

The sixth installment of the "Mission Impossible" sequel will be coming to theaters on July 27, 2018. The production of "Mission: Impossible" is expected to begin in the spring of 2017 with Christopher McQuarrie who previously helmed "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation."

While for all of the sequels Tom Cruise remained as Ethan Hunt for the "Mission Impossible" franchise, everything around him has changed. It seems that "Mission: Impossible 6" have gone and done something unprecedented as reports say they'll be bringing back the leading lady.

Earlier reports coming in that Rebecca Ferguson who played the leading lady for the past "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" is confirmed to return for "Mission: Impossible 6" and that's a done deal according to Showbiz 411. However, Christopher McQuarrie did not confirm Rebecca's casting for "Mission: Impossible 6" according to CinemaBlend. In observation, Tom Cruise obviously has had different leading lady on every movie.

Ferguson's door opened when director Christopher McQuarrie said that the two women Maggie Q and Paula Patron was neither available when approached to star in "Rogue Nation." Maggie Q and Paula Patron previously starred opposite Cruise in previous "Mission: Impossible films."

While reports came in telling us that some character will return for "Mission Impossible 6," reports also surfaced that Jeremy Renner may not return for "Mission: Impossible 6" due to his involvement with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Jeremy mentioned during the interview with Collider that he will be spending most of his time reprising "Hawkeye" which could cause schedule conflict for 2017.
