'Jane The Virgin' Season 3 Spoilers: What's Catalina's Agenda? Will Petra End Up Saving Raf From Her?

Trouble comes to "Jane the Virgin" in the form of Catalina (Sofia Pernas). The character was introduced in this week's episode, which aired on Monday, Nov. 21, as she quickly made her way to Rafael's (Justin Baldoni) arms.

Jane (Gina Rodriguez) is thrilled about her cousin's arrival in "Jane the Virgin," especially since she's her complete opposite. Catalina is uninhibited and has traveled the world, while Jane has settled down as part of boring couple with husband Michael (Brett Dier).

Yet her grandmother Alba (Ivonne Coll) warns that Catalina cannot be trusted. It's still unclear what her agenda is on "Jane the Virgin" but Bustle suggests that it looks like she's coming after Rafael and his money.

On the show, Catalina made it known that she knew Rafael five years before. Whether that might be coincidence or not, it has fans of "Jane the Virgin" raising the red flag.

Catalina could also be Sin Rostro in disguise or someone connected to Rafael's mother, whose death in prison still raises questions. Fans believe that the only way Catalina can be foiled is if Petra (Yael Grobglas) saves her ex-husband on "Jane the Virgin" from a potential mess.

Petra, the resident villain on "Jane the Virgin," is currently at odds with Rafael as shown in the latest episode. But Yael Grobglas believes that her character is not pure evil, which means she could be persuaded to set aside her conflict with Rafael to help him.

"She just comes from where she comes from, and with her history, she doesn't have the love and support that Jane had growing up," the actress told Vanity Fair about her character on "Jane the Virgin." "Petra-I admire her a lot. I think she's tough as nails," she adds.

"Jane the Virgin" has not announced how long Sofia Pernas' appearance will be in the series. Next week's episode will be the show's midseason finale. Watch the teaser below.
