'Final Fantasy 7' Remake Release Date Takes A Back Seat As 'Final Fantasy XV' Early Launch Suggested Because Of The Leak

While fans continue to search the net for any "Final Fantasy 7" remake related updates, no new details about the upcoming title have been shared recently. Square Enix has previously claimed that they will be keeping mum about the development of the remake, hence the complete silence online.

Although fans who are anxiously waiting for "Final Fantasy 7" remake have been very patient when it comes its progress, some have also learned to focus their attention on other upcoming titles which include another Square Enix game. "Final Fantasy XV" is due to be released next week, and fans can't wait to get their hands on the title.

Just recently, the attention from the "Final Fantasy 7" remake was diverted to "Final Fantasy XV" after a leak of the new game surfaced online. Game director Hajime Tabata quickly apologized for the leak, but asked fans not to take part in spoiling the game for others, IGN noted.

Square Enix has just released a new trailer and new details of the gameplay when they admitted that there was indeed a leak of the new game's gameplay. Now that fans have caught a glimpse of "Final Fantasy XV" some are urging developers to just release the title early. There has been no confirmation whether Square Enix will decide to go that route, but as of writing, its November 29 release is still a go.

Meanwhile, rumors are also heavy online that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake could be made compatible with the new PS4 Pro console. As Yibada reported, there could be some significant delay in the game's release date because of the overhaul it has to undergo to better suit Sony's new console.
