Nintendo Switch Pre-Order In UK Now Available, But Orders Are Getting Refunded?

The upcoming Nintendo Switch is one of the most controversial if not most anticipated consoles in 2017. The mystery surrounding the console's specs and games are yet to be answered since Nintendo are being secretive regarding the console's information.

A couple of days ago, UK game distributor GameSeek has listed the Nintendo Switch for pre-order with a price tag of £198.50 approximately $246.96 is US currency. Although there is no official announcement from Nintendo regarding the console's release, the video game distributor did not remove the listing.

One customer from GameSeek reacted under the comment section of the Nintendo Switch page with the following statement: "I rang up to find out if you take payment on ordering or when the item is dispatched and the advisor told me that you have actually refunded everybody who has preordered this item. Is that correct? I really want to preorder this, but obviously want to make sure everything will be fine," in which GameSeek told the customer that they will only do a refund if the customer requests it.

Another article from Let'sPlayVideoGames, earlier this month discussed the price of the upcoming console. The article spoke of a reliable source who shared the actual recommended retail price of the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo is rumored to sell the Nintendo Switch to video game distributors for £199.99, which is the price for Nintendo Switch's stock keeping unit (SKU).

With all the speculations regarding Nintendo Switch's price and pre-order details, it is advisable to wait for Nintendo's official announcement. Pre-ordering the console may be a good strategy to make sure that the consumer has the product during launch. It is also another way to avoid the NES Classic Edition's dilemma. The only downside to this strategy is the anticipation, delays, and order cancellations due to errors which rarely occurs.
