‘Beyond Good And Evil 2’ Ubisoft’s Serious Project?

Ubisoft recently confirmed the development of "Beyond Good and Evil 2." Could 2017 be the year of "Beyond Good and Evil 2's" launch?

"Beyond Good and Evil 2" was announced in 2008. But after the announcement, the game went dormant, up until this year. "Beyond Good and Evil 2's" director Michel Ancel stated that "[We had] big questions that are so big you can't know the answers because no physics engine can handle all of the dimensions and speeds and things like that, It's like 'Okay, if no physics engine can do it, how can we achieve that?" according to Kotaku.

"Beyond Good and Evil 2" is speculated as a prequel to 2011's "Beyond Good and Evil." The game "Beyond Good and Evil" is a combination of puzzle, stealth, action and adventure. The events in the game take place in the year 2435 in the planet of Hilly's. The story is about the different escapade of the main protagonist known as Jade. Hired by the IRIS network to investigate the reason behind the planet-wide disappearances, who later discovered the gruesome truth behind the series of unfortunate events happening within their realm.

Beyond Good and Evil was well received by the critics and gaming enthusiasts alike due to its storyline and graphical presentation. The review by GameInformer described the game's concept as a "Zelda-esque adventure with evil aliens, conspiracies, photography, and a pig man."

"Beyond Good and Evil" was also nominated for game of the year, the original character of the year and excellence in game design during the 2004 Game Developers Choice Award. "Beyond Good and evil" is listed as number 22 in the list of the top 25 best Xbox games and is number 12 on GameCube's best games of all time by IGN. The confirmation by Ubisoft about "Beyond Good and Evil 2's" development will help not only the game that's being developed but also the sales of the previous installment, another reason for Ubisoft to become more serious in the development of the project.
