'Baron Trump Autistic?', Rosie O'Donnell Asks & Draws Ire For Stigmatizing Presidential Son

Former "The View" host, Rosie O'Donnell, earned flak after speculating that presidential son, Barron Trump, is "autistic." The comedienne posted her thoughts on Twitter and was since then blasted by many Internet users, Trump supporters and non-Trump supporters alike.

Along with her tweet, Rosie O'Donnell attached a YouTube video of the Barron Trump that theorizes the 10-year-old to be a child with autism. "Barron Trump Autistic? if so - what an amazing opportunity to bring attention to the AUTISM epidemic," O' Donnell's tweet reads, per Toronto Sun.

Twitter users were quick to come after the host, saying that her choice of words lacks sensitivity and her thoughts gravely hypocritical. One Twitter user, who is also a parent of a child with autism, said she was insulted with Rosie O'Donnell and even said her statement was cruel. Meanwhile, one user hopes that the "autistic" child would be used by his father, Donald Trump, for "good platforms."

The comedienne has been a staunch critic of the Republican president ever since before he expressed interest in running for the Oval Office post. The infamous scuffle between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump started in 2006, says CNN Politics.

Several symptoms of children in autism spectrum were noticed in Barron Trump even prior to his dad's triumph earlier this month. The 10-year-old was seen to be exhibiting autistic tendencies and plenty of viewers were able to witness his restlessness.

Barron Trump caught the attention of people when he was seen erratically clapping, with neither of his hands touching each other. This was apparent during the Republican National Convention 2016.

The 10-year-old was also seen to display anti-social behavior, one of the key symptoms among children with autism. His strange behavior became noticeable when he went upstage during the same event. For this, some people touted him as rude, just like how his father was often thought to be.

He was also noticed to be walking wobblier than normal and this manner of walking is also a symptom of autism. While various symptoms of autism have been seen in Donald Trump's child, neither of his parents confirm nor deny this speculation.
