Separated Or Divorced With Kids? Try Co-Parenting & Some Hollywood Stars Swear By It

One of the hardest things to get over is a tumultuous relationship and this is even more complicated if there are kids involved. When divorce or separation is the only viable option for couples, it's not the end of the line in becoming good parents. Co-parenting exists and this is proven to be a healthier option for some, as oppose to staying together with the problems recurring over and over.

Co-parenting offers numerous benefits for everyone involved. Not only do the children feel safe and secured, despite their parents being emotionally separated from one another. It also gives a sense of relief and peace of mind among adults.

Benefits of this style of parenting are not limited to emotional well-being, says Brampton Guardian. It is also beneficial for everyone's health as the stresses are reduced.

Communication is also made better when estranged couples co-parent. Through this, negative aspects of the relationship are put aside as co-parenting focuses on conflict resolution and cooperation between the former couple.

If good co-parenting is also enforced by the parents, this can be adapted by the children and they can grow to be more resilient. Co-parented children have the tendency to learn diplomacy and conflict resolution if good qualities are evident in the adults' actions.

One of the strong examples of couples who co-parent are Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. After separating in 2000, the former Hollywood A-list couple amicably raised their kids, Rumer Willis and her sisters, despite the ex-husband being married to another woman. According to SheKnows, Rumer Willis recalls that their parents are engaging in big family activities together despite being divorced and this made the separation digestible on her part.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's relationship may have been on-again, off-again but still, they deserve props for never abandoning the kids. Now, the couple was said to be in good terms again, and in fact, they were last spotted to have a fun day at Mexico with their second-born, Penelope.

For a time, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are co-parenting their two kids after being estranged. However, after eight months of separation, the couple went back together as the actress was seen sporting a bump and it was confirmed that they were expecting baby number 3 back in July.
